On the Road

So I don't know if it is spring break for you guys, but it is for me! My team is going to leave Chapel Hill around 4:00 to drive up to Lake Lure, NC and it's about a 4 hour drive. Honestly, though, I think it will be a lot of fun. It's been a while since I've gone on a car trip with that many people, haha.

But I found out more about our practice schedule. We practice twice a day every day, for about 2-3 hours each practice. We even practice on Sunday, which kinda stinks. It's going to be a little chilly but not as cold as it could be, so that's good. And on the 10th we have our very first scrimmage! I'm excited to race for the first time, but I'm scared, too. Mainly of the other boats and crashing into them. I guess a "scare tactic" some coxswains use is to get really close to your boat to try and force you off of your course. That's no bueno. I know that I probably won't crash, but still. =S

I'll try and post sometime in the middle of the week so I can tell you guys how it's going. All I can say, is that we better have internet there. Otherwise about 60 college students are going to be really bored. Haha

I must say, Sundays are pretty much amazing and my favorite day of the week. It's the day I can sit and enjoy life, instead of having it fly right past me. 

Have any of ya'll seen Somewhere In Time?? It's such a great movie, I'm sitting here watching it right now. If you haven't, you should. Because it's AMAZING.

We had the missionaries over for dinner today. Ha, that was fun :) It's so weird to be almost the same age as missionaries. It's also weird to have a lot of my friends on missions, and in the next year or so, they'll all be gone! (or at least they better be!!!) ;)

So, you guys. I know I was already like this before, but it has gotten worse. I have something important to say. I am an addict......to NAIL ART. =D

Haha, ya.

But it is way fun! And I have three roommates/suitemates to be my guinea pigs!! Muhahaha!

Let's see what else....um my spring break is coming up soon! Although it won't be much of a break for me. My team is going to be training the entire time. T.T I mean it's good that we get the practice in, but it's our ENTIRE spring break. It kinda stinks. Hopefully we'll have fun with it though.

Other than that there's nothing new going on. School and the like. Although it did snow Sunday night! It didn't stick or anything, but we got to see it fall and cover up the cars in the parking lot. I just love seeing snow. C=

February is an interesting month. It's where a lot of stuff starts up. It all seems to deal with oranges too... um..that's enough for now about that. It's all stuff I can't share publicly on the Internet. No drama [hopefully], and just lotsa fun. But this February is way similar to last! ;)
I take back what I said about remembering BIO from Torrey.. ha. I thought with this teacher I have now, I'd have this second chance of learning and everything would finally make sense. NO. I was wrong.
I have completed 4 weeks of this semester. LAME. It needs to be 4 less. or better yet--none left! :D Ha....
I feel like a genius--I am doing a research paper for my English class....the same one I did last semester for English! AP skills are comin back to me, eh? hehehe

Wait...what?

So it was our team's first day back on the lake! It was so much nicer than just being in a room with 30 rowing machines. And the weather was fantastic. 60 degrees! Delicious.

I was anxious about it (since it's been two months since we've been on water) but everything came back to me, thank goodness. All the drills and calls were just stored for the winter (bahahahahaha).

I get to go to the UNC vs. NC State basketball game tomorrow night! We better win, because I have a handful of friends that go to state, and since they already beat us in football they would never let me live it down if our team lost in basketball, too. Yeesh, I don't want to even think about it. =b

But other than that, I've just been chilling! Good luck to all o' you!

My Goosebumps Are Recycling The Gummibears

Remember when we would post and do random post titles? Yeah, I just remembered that. So of course, this post has nothing to do with goosebumps, or gummibears. Or recycling.

First off, I'd like to say, I think about ya'll while I sit in biology. Here I am, posting this blog, "listening" and "taking notes" haha.

Those were the good ol days... biology with ms torrey... ;) Apparently I remember more than I thought I did from that class. And not just stuff about breaking test tubes and taking pictures with pig intestines.

Anyways, have any of you ever watched Prison Break? Yeah, that's my new favorite show. It's intense. You should watch it.

I'm off work today! WooHoo! :D ha, time to do my homework for the week! :)

I might get to go to South Dakota this summer. Ha, to visit my aunt, I'm excited!!

During spring break, we are going on a "secret vacation." That should be fun. Don't know much about it yet.

Ya know why?? I completely forgot about my first assignment in one of my classes. COMPLETELY forgot. BUT, someone hacked into the ASU website, got everyone's usernames and encrypted passwords, so they shut down the website, blackboard, and everything related. So, my teacher extended the project due date :) WOO!! :D
P.S.--No one else is posting, like we said we woulddd!!! hahaha

COLLEGE, WORK, LIFE...

YAY for this blog coming back to life!! :) Let's not let another death, okay??
Let's see... college and work. That's about all I'm up to! Hahaha.
This semester I'm taking English 102, special education, biology, history, and an online computer class (hehe). It's pretty good, WAY better than last semester!! 
I work at Desert Schools, and I'm a teller. I work about 30ish hours a week, so that keeps me busy (and with money to do fun stuff--when I get the time..ha). 
Life's great. I got to....... SINGLES WARD! AHHH! It was the weirdest thing at first, but ya know, I like it now. I feel like I "fit in" (I guess, I only know like 3 people..). But I feel it's where I belong I guess. Relief Society is for preparing for life, instead of how to better a relationship with the husband and children I don't have. We do fun activities, that I try to go to..sometimes..when I'm not at work. I HAVE A CALLING!! I'm the Indexing Specialist. Ya know, on lds.org? It's pretty sweet, you should try it if ya haven't.
I go to the Family History Sunday School class (as part of my calling, and for fun cuz I love it). AND I FOUND 2 NAMES THAT NEED BAPTISMS!! :D I am hoping to find more, but I'm excited I found those two, and reserved them for ME to do them... YES. ha
Dating? NOPEE, any of you girlies dating?
Free time? Read or play the piano.. when I actually DO have free time.
Family? Good. Growing (height wise..). Kinda on my nerves sometimes... haha.

Soooo...what's up? =)

Did you know that David is turning 16 this Saturday? I used to think it was weird but now I want him to. Someone in our ward needs to show these priests that they need to ask girls out on dates and David is going to start that change, gosh darn it! Haha

Other than that, how is everyone liking their college? Anything exciting?? My crew practices start back up this week and our first race is in March. I am extremely nervous but extremely excited at the same time. There are some awesome people on the team that I am really glad to have met. It definitely makes the campus feel smaller when you walk by a friend. ;)

I am so stoked about the classes I'm taking this semester. I've got a shakespeare class, philosophy, costume history, intro to fiction, racquet sports, and world geography. I think my favorite class right now is a tie between shakespeare, fiction and racquet sports. Is it bad that that's half of my semester?? =S Lol

Anyway, I know I haven't been the best at updating this thing, but let's make it a resolution of ours to keep each other updated!! I'll be binding you all with this resolution in a Facebook thread, and you KNOW how crazy we can get with those things. ;) Haha, love you guys!!
